Harpoon is turning its annual Octoberfest into two very different parties this weekend.
The entire festival is 21+, but Friday night shifts into Octoberfest After Dark, built around DJs, dance floors, black lights, glow-in-the-dark games, food and beer.
Friday entry begins at 6 p.m., with the latest arrival at 9:30 p.m. The event continues until 11 p.m.
Then Saturday switches back to the traditional version.
Expect oompah music, stein-hoisting, pretzel-eating competitions, chicken dancing and the classic beer-hall atmosphere.
Saturday entry begins at noon, with arrivals allowed through 5:30 p.m. The festival ends at 7 p.m.
Tickets start at $15 online.
If you decide to show up without one, Harpoon says day-of tickets will be available while supplies last. Door packages start at $28 and include admission, one token and a Welcome Kit.
The festival is cashless, so bring a card or use Apple Pay.
Harpoon Brewery is at 306 Northern Avenue in Seaport.
For anyone looking for a Friday night plan rather than a daytime fall festival, After Dark is probably the more interesting half of the weekend.
Saturday is for the lederhosen crowd.
