That Boston Public Library card sitting in your wallet can do more than get you books.
BPL currently gives cardholders access to LinkedIn Learning, including 16,000 video courses covering business, software, technology and creative skills. Courses are also available in several languages.
That means you can learn things like Excel, Photoshop, project management, coding, marketing and presentation skills without paying separately for another online-learning subscription.
One thing to know: access LinkedIn Learning through the Boston Public Library website, rather than going directly to LinkedIn Learning, so you can use BPL’s subscription.
No library card yet? Students who live in Massachusetts while attending school can generally qualify for a free BPL card or eCard, and the eCard provides access to BPL’s online resources.
This is especially useful if you’re trying to patch a skill gap before an internship.

You have three weeks.
Time to lock in.
That’s the idea behind Bzzpost’s Courses & Skills section: pulling out resources that are actually useful for students instead of dumping another 400-link resource page on you.
First stop:
The library card you already forgot you had.
BPL resource and library-card eligibility information was checked on August 17, 2026. Course availability and eligibility requirements can change, so check Boston Public Library’s current information before signing up.
