Sometimes you need silence.

Sometimes you need espresso, background noise and somewhere to convince your brain that something productive is happening.

Near BU, Pavement Coffeehouse at 736 Commonwealth Ave. is open 7 a.m.–7 p.m. daily. Pavement also has locations near Berklee, in Fenway and in Harvard Square.

Around MIT, Tatte at 101 Main St. in Kendall Square is open 7 a.m.–3 p.m. Monday through Friday and closed on weekends.

But a good study spot is about more than looking nice.

That’s why Bzzpost’s Study Spots will track the stuff that actually matters:

Hours. Campus. Wi-Fi when confirmed. Food options. Any published laptop or seating restrictions.

Because the question isn’t whether a café looks good on Instagram.

It’s whether it actually works when you have two chapters to read and an assignment due at midnight.

A beautiful café with nowhere to sit might be great for your camera roll.

Your laptop has other priorities.

Hours were checked on August 17, 2026. Café hours, Wi-Fi availability and seating or laptop policies can change, so check current information before heading out.
